Overview

JPL had multiple B2B offerings like Cloud, Data Platforms, 5G, and Media, but they were not connected as one clear experience.
Each product had its own separate presence, making it hard for users to explore everything in one place.

I designed a unified website experience that first created structured microsites for each product, and then brought them together into one connected parent platform.

Challenge

The products were strong, but the experience felt scattered.
Users faced three main problems:
  • No common navigation across products
  • Hard to move between related offerings
  • No easy way to explore by industry or use case
Because of this, the full JPL portfolio did not come together as one clear story.

Research

Stakeholder Interviews

I worked with business and product teams to understand each offering and align priorities.

Competitor Study

I studied AWS, Azure, and IBM to see how large B2B platforms organize complex ecosystems.

Findings

The main gaps were:
  1. Products were disconnected
  2. Navigation was inconsistent
  3. Discovery across offerings was limited
  4. Adding new products was hard to scale

User profiles

Business Decision Makers

Needed one place to explore all JPL solutions easily.

Internal Product Teams

Needed a shared structure for faster future launches.

Solution

I solved this in two phases.

Phase 1: Product Microsites

I first designed dedicated microsites for each product.

Instead of building them separately, I created one shared structure across all:

  • Same navigation pattern

  • Common information architecture

  • Consistent product and solution layout

Phase 2: Unified Parent Website

Once the microsites were aligned, I brought them into one parent JPL website.

This made it easy for users to:

  • Explore all products in one place

  • Browse by Products & Solution

  • Move smoothly across related solutions
